New Look...

(okay, caught back up. This is actually recent...and sorry for the long post...)

Sooooo, Akia got a revamp :3 This is actually quite old, like Novemberish, but due to problems with patience, time, and motivation, plus some other factors, I didn't finish it till now. But besides that, I'm very happy with this, considering I tried a lot of new things, not only with his design but with technique as well (I'm thrilled with how the coloring looks). Design wise, I brought back some things I've always liked but never pursued (like REALLY old things from his very first picture, such as the overly large, blockish hands/feet) while trying some new things too, such as the spikeish things on his hands and tails. Overall I think I'm finally getting his character as I've always seen it, though it still needs some work (especially his feet, considering I still can't get them the way I want them)

Aaaaaand, another part to his revision is going to be his name. Akia has been bothering me for some time for multiple reasons (mostly because 4 of the 5 main characters have k's in their name due to my early obsession with weird names that I've finally outgrown) and as hard as it is for me to change his name (I'm still having issues doing so) I really need to. I'm thinking about Aiden, since I love that name and it isn't as big of a change, but I'm still not sure if it fits :/ hopefully by the next picture I'll have made some decision...


and I'm actually a little pissed about this....As much as I love this character, I've been wanting to draw some stuff for the rp I'm in, but have been in the worst artblock slump, and considering I managed to work on anything at all that came out good is a miracle at this point. Sooooo as irritating as it is, it is nice cause this gave me a little motivation I've been needing, but I'm still having issues getting back into it......urgh, so I hope summer means more updates, but I can't promise anything...
