If this looks rea-a-a-aly crappy, it's because I took a picture of the actual thing. (It's too big to scan).
Anyway, this is one of the projects I had worked on in my art class (the theme was "metamorphasis"). And apparently it was good enough to enter the school art festival. (All of my projects that I worked on entered actually... and I didn't win anything. ='( Now that is the epitome of epic fail. Oh well, can't compete with people who are actually majoring in graphic arts.

I super sux0rs at traditional mediums, so I apologize. Actually my friend, (who is also on DA), Kami-Kenji, helped me with colored pencils so that it wouldn't be completely horrendous (thank you!

The concept of this is so cool. Lucky you for being able to draw something like this in school. The background is amazing and I must agree with some people that the halfway point in the tranformation is quite freaky. But it looks amazing nonetheless!
