After Hughes’ funeral Roy went along doing his things as if nothing had happened. He went back to HQ and went through Hughes’s things. Roy found the things that Hughes was working on and pictures of his daughter. Then he found something that got to him HARD. He found a picture of them together hanging out. After he found that picture he made a promise to himself. He WOULD revenge Hughes’s death.
“Hughes I miss you. I miss your warmth, and your kisses. There was so much unsaid between us. I want to tell you,” Roy said to himself.
After he had said this Riza walked in and said “Roy I found this in Hughes’s locker and it…..ummm had your name on it. So here you go.”
“Thank you Riza. I want you to know that you are working hard and that if you were not here I do not know how I would be right now. Thank you again”
“Roy I hope you know it is OK to cry. You do not have to keep it bottled up. Hughes wouldn’t want you to keep everything inside.”
“I know that Riza but…..but I am your…,” Roy started to say but than a stream of tears flowed from his eyes. Riza saw that Roy was in pain, not physical pain but emotional pain. Riza took Roy in her arms and said that everything will be alright. Then Roy went to sleep in her arms thinking it was Hughes’s strong arms holding him.
The next day when Roy woke up he saw were he was in the HQ, in an office. in Hughes’s office. He looked down to see what was in his hand. It was the note that was written to him from Hughes. He opened the letter and it read,

Dear Roy,
Roy, I known you forever and you are my best friend. I thought you might wanted to know that. You have given me MANY memories. I thank you for that. The memories will forever be in my heart. I love it when your hands wondered all over my body. I love it when you kiss you and I know you are not lying. I know this, I WILL love you until I die and I even MORE after death. You will always be my best friend and a dear lover to me. I can ask you this one thing for I asked so much from you already. Please love me forever. If I am to die I hope it is in your arms. Roy I know what you are thinking, ‘Why is he writing about death?’ I am writing about it because I know death is coming to one of us I I want you to know how I feel about you. I hope you never HAVE to read this but if you do that means something had happened to me and I wish it didn’t. Roy I WANT you to know this. I LOVE YOU. I loved you ever since I first met you and ever since we made love. Roy please do not forget me.
Love,
Hughes
Roy read the note over and over again. Then he cried “Hughes I love you too…..Please do not leave me alone.” Later that night he cried himself to sleep.
In his dream he saw Hughes and thought that he was not dreaming. Hughes walked over to Roy and said “Roy you have to let me go. I am sorry.”
“What do you mean Hughes?” Roy asked.
“I mean that you can not think I WILL come back. Roy I DIED and nothing will change that. I am sorry but…you HAVE to or I can not pass over.”
Roy started to cry and did not know what to say. Hughes walked up to Roy and kissed Roy’s tears away.
“Roy I know this is hard for you but you have to. I know that you love me. I love you too.”
Then Roy loved at Hughes and Hughes looked back at Roy, they kissed. Later that night in Roy’s dream they had fallen asleep in each other’s arms not wanting to let go. Them Roy awoke in this bed panting. He realized it was a dream and that Hughes was right, he HAD to let him go. But he knew that they will meet again. He also knew that he can see Hughes in his dream anytime he wanted.
