This is a lighthearted look at death, with maybe a hint of truth, who knows? It was inspired by the Danny Elfman music in the Tim Burton films, particularly "The Nightmare Before Christmas", hence the preview picture of Jack Skellington. I wanted it to be quirky, and have some character quality. I am including the lyrics, and hope you enjoy.

There’s no need to be afraid
Death is just a step we take
If you’re feeling all alone
Just think of it as going home

(Home, home, home, going home, home, going home)

When the time to leave arrives
You will see it with your eyes
Like a tunnel filled with light
Warm inviting and so bright

(Bright, bright, bright, oh so warm and inviting, very, very bright)

When the angels come to take you
You will gladly go
Flying high above the world below

(Flying high above the world below, flying high above the world below)

When you reach the other side
Memories will fade and die
You will rest a while and then
Start the cycle once,
(Start the cycle once, start the cycle once, start the cycle once)
Again
Start the cycle once again.

This was suggested to me to be featured. I tell ya', I don't think I've ever heard A Capella this good on Sheezyart until this track. It's so smooth and eerie sounding and it draws you into the ambient feel of mischievous devious deeds.

Yup, I can totally see a glimmer of Danny Elfman in here. Your voice seems to be perfect for these types of songs, as it fit quite nicely with all the harmonies and the somewhat lighthearted-ness of the lyrics. Good job here with this pretty and (as you called it) quirky song.

DPK Says:

absolutely beautiful, definitely has an Elfman kinda feel to it, which I absolutely LOVE his compositional work. Like you said, very quirky and I could see this played in a Burton film!

Cobalt89 Says:

So that was pretty damn cool. I don't think I've heard anybody around here do an acapella like this. (I've heard vocals only but not "instruments." ) Totally sounds like it could have been pulled from The Nightmare Before Christmas. Pretty crafty and no audio problems as far as I can tell. (no popping or clipping that I can hear) Though I am on my laptop so I could be wrong. Great stuff... I think I'll favorite it. =D

Apparitionmoon Says:

This is awsome. Nicely done. Not something you hear or see around too often. *favs*

Weird Things Says:

Definitely very mysterious and Danny Elfman-ish! Good, clear vocals too

I need to make you an animation/music video to this someday.

Fox Amoore Says:

Very good, the notes are spot on, I love the sections when the ooh's come in, very nice touch. Thank you for entering the contest! :)

KeScKoSk Says:

I love this. I just wish this could be in a movie soon. I'm inspired to make a music video of this song! :3

DarKsidE Says:

Haha, great a cappella. As fox amoore already mentioned. Notes are spot on. Very good piece! :)

Merina Says:

That's very interesting to listen to. I don't think I hear much acapella pieces here on sheezy. I'd like to hear more.
