Had to use the pen tool in Illustrator last year for a project, so I chose a screenshot from Bleach when Ichigo first released his bankai.

I like how it turned out, but I was lazy on the background.

How did you do this (I have no idea what the pen tool does - many speak of it but...) is it like vector art or is cell shaded?...a well either way I like it.
