Description

Hello you all,
This saturday I composed a new work in c minor. It's scored for a stringquartet and simply called "thoughts". Everyone is offcourse however entitled to have their own thoughts about it when listening to this very piece. the tempo indications would be: Presto agitato-Adagio espressivo-tempo 1o-Adagio espressivo-tempo 1o.

Enjoy.

Merina Says:

It reminds me very much to the feeling of betrayal. It's very evil-ish and makes me think of Hell.

Shadow Dinosaur Says:

Hmmm. very nice. I sorta agree with Merina.

EtherealMog Says:

An impressive emotional piece.
Entitling this "Thoughts" was a good choice as it's a powerful and expressive, yet quiet and refined piece, that could spawn several different emotions. The clarity of the piece and the instruments play a very big part in this as the sharp string sections create a feel all their own, while the longer string sections give it a melodic feel.
Have to say it's also nice to hear someone playing something other than the piano!
Fantastic work! Keep it up!

Sounds good!
Great job; especially because you've made it alone ^^ (with the right software, I know. But that still isn't very easy [I've used a program like Finale some time ago])

The soprano part (leading into a similar alto part) around 1:49 or so until 2:25 or so is very lovely. Like one reaching out towards their lover, who is drifting away. It sounds like two lovers dancing a step of despair. Then after the accents and subsequent bridge section (or whatever), the one lover is left alone, pining for the other, who soon returns at around 5:00.

AZSolii Says:

I like how this sounds, very pleasant to listen to, for C-minor happens to be one of my favorite keys in music. My only qualms are a certain place where the sound unexpectedly cuts out (like at 1:12), and the sudden explosion of sound. Then again, that bit seems intentional, so don't worry about the latter. Other than that, it sounds solid, though nothing particularly strikes me a certain thought about it. Though, on reading the comments, Merina seems to have the same feeling I have with "betrayal". That actually sums up the mood of the piece quite nicely.

Overall, a very nice piece to listen to. Thanks for sharing!
