So, no, I didn't draw the imageâ€“I simply painted the photograph. It was a study on colour schemes (I'm horrible at choosing colours >,<

and basically to get me back in the mood for painting!

Took quite a whileâ€¦8-10 hrs maybe? Spent my entire afternoon doing it today, too. but i'm very happy with the way it came out.

Although this is copied directly from a magazine, you did it extremely well! I'm also very envious of how well you dealt with the hair. (That is usually a challenging feat. for many artists)
