Almond is a pretty unknown OC of mine. I have in my head and in the works several stories involving my characters, which I hope to turn into comics one day. Well, the main storyline is called Demon Heart, and follows the story of Kaison, a demon, in his quest to save the universe. Shortly after/during the time the original form of Demon Heart was conceived and alternative and much more inclusive story was created called Sin Burake. Sin Burake, also the title character, was a very dark-in-nature storyline, the end of which everyone winds up dead, or close to it. Sin Burake was supposed to be isolated from Demon Heart, but as they developed they became much more involved and entertwined.
Thusly, and intermediary story, so far simply called Demon Heart 2, was created to bridge the gap, and yet remain seperate from both. While Demon Heart has themes of heroism and self-sacrifice, Sin Burake has themes of punishment and suffering. So how did we go from saving the world to getting punished? Almond is why. He never wanted to be heroic, but a chain of events beyond his control set his down a path to at first do what he felt was right. But throughout his journey his sacrifice turned to suffering, and his suffering turned to evil. As Almond is forced to endure one crisis after another he changes from a simple working-boy at the beginning, to a reincarnated God of evil at the end.
The main trouble comes from the fact that Almond unknowingly as the tool needed to unleash a creature called the Heartbreak. The Heartbreak is a very unique creature known as an Absolute, in his case, absolute sorrow. He was sealed away by three keys: Despairity, Mourning, and Guilty. The Guilty Key lets people open portals to anywhere in the present universe. The Mourning Key can alter the flow of life to kill instantly, or resurrect. The Despairity Key can do both, however it is cursed so that whoever uses its power will suffer. Almond has the Despairity Key, and upon using it half-way through the story, life really starts to suck for him.

I love the story you have behind the character and that you plan on turning into a comic when you are able. Its so in-depth and original, just like the design of your character here. The purple with the beiges, golds and grays certainly sets off the piece, as the green of his eyes and in the gem inside his sword draws attention. You can't help but notice and be drawn toward it. Truly beautiful.
...Sorry, I kinda rambled. Definitely a favorite.
