Trying to paint 'proper' whilst still stylising certain features. Using a mate's picture as a model and a scruitiny of Luxy's

particular smooth subtle shading
Chucked some random textures on top to add flavour.
Will happily accept crits on this piece of slap as I really would like to improve.
[Edit] - Contrast on face darkened, added more shading to the eyes and side of face, added grey to the whites of eyes.

Its good, but the eyes just don't quite fit.
Bellow them needs to be darker, and there should be a couple of different colours in the eyes.
I would do redline, but you can't exactly redline in any other colours than red. D:

Is that Regina Spektor I read and half sang out loud up there?
Great style, the sweater is my favorite part.
very interesting textures too, the make everything pop out nicely.
all of the stylized things look nice, the addition of the textures add to the 'real' look and the eyes are always the artist's meat and jam paste, so keeping them stylized is a must. the only thing I can see thats wrong is that eyes whites are never white, the reflections can be left alone but the whites need some grey in there.
hair looks great, all that stubble, oh you. Grungy boys are always the most fun to draw.
looks like a friend of mine, good job on getting a familiar look on him

I wish I could paint like lux in Photoshop too, it's amazing. I can only imagine there is also a very high resolution involved but other than that it's a mystery to me! It isn't vectors, though.

Love the style - especially the sweater. Though I'm a sucker for men in sweaters. xD
