Sarah Through the Ages.

Another assignment from Character and Object Design Class. We had to take out main character and show them at different ages.

Now, technically, Sarah can't age, but I'm sure I'd get an F if I drew her the same 5 times.... and it wouldn't have been as interesting and fun to do, so.... here they are.

Just Sketched - The Toddler version of Sarah. Called so because technically Toons emerge as sketches before they're fully developed into their final character designs. You could say the brainstorming process is like the incubation period. Big eyes and humorously bigger feet.

Growing into her Lines - The Kid version of Sarah. At this age I suppose she's getting comfortable with her design and, well, growing into her lines. Plus, she looks like a mischievous little rascal.

In 'er Prime - Yes, the Current Sarah. Finally gotten a color palette for her. She looks young and goofy here.

Dangerous Curves - Or the "Who-are-you-and-what-have-you-done-with-Sarah" version. The Adult. Possibly gotten a contract into Toon stardom? Maybe she just has the right voice actress. She looks more full here, and as the name implies has more curves, especially in the hair. She also has a belt that matches her choker. It's about time she wore one of those. She looks more graceful and slightly more conservative.

Ancient Dino - Old Lady Sarah. I think she could have used a Bun for her hair. I think this is the stage where she's finally retiring from TV and getting into an Old Toon's home, possibly pulling pranks like replacing someone's dentures with wind-up teeth or putting joy buzzers in the tapioca pudding. She's slumps, but still flowy, gravity's really acting on her. No saggy jokes, please.
