For m1a2tanker's contest. The whole idea was to draw your character like one of those Unleashed Star Wars figures.

Well, this is Dernel, if you watch my work you already know him. He's my main character and we share many physical and emotional traits. I figured since this was supposed to be a really expressive picture then maybe I could draw Dernel the way I feel right now. So, there he is, all mashed down, bleeding, with his chest pierced and in the brink of death... but he still gets up and fights and summons energy out of nowhere to charge up his sword and execute one final technique... and he'll probably get up after that too.

Dang! this took forever to make and I had everything against me, particularly time in the last couple of days, since I had some school work to finish and all, but m1a2tanker was very patient with me on this one and gave me a couple extra minutes to finish it. I think it came out quite well, although I may retouch it here and there in the next few days.
