'It had been nearly a century since I stood before the vampire known as "The Dream Slayer". Nearly a century since I escaped his power, and became my own master. But now, here I was, cold fear flowing down to my toes in one, long, shuddering line.
"Ren..." his voice was deep, ominous, and it slid over my skin like ice, "...did you really think you could elude me forever, my pet?"
I let my eyes close, and felt my lips pull back into an unpleasant grin. This man, that I once called Master, was here to reclaim me. I would die before I let that happen again. A soft wind began to form around me, as I called my power. The same power that let me defy gravity, the same power that let me control the minds of unsuspecting victims, so that I may feed with minimal calamity. I opened my eyes with a snap, and that wind blew outwards, forcing the man in front of me to take a step back, a look of surprise in those impossibly dark eyes. I felt my grin turn into a snarl, turning my face into something monstrous and terrifying, "You are not my Master. Not anymore..."
