A Phoenix Resurrected

Otay... so... doodling the other day. I was looking through some Final Fantasy VII scanlations [is that right?] And I love FF 7. Its one of my favourite games, despite how crappy the graphics are. Anyway, sorta got me thinking that I don't draw my FF 8 OC much. So I sat down at the PC and doodled. Skimming through FF mangas influenced this a lot. The pose was inspired by one of Arieth.

Anway... lemme explain the title and what's going on. Phoenix is the name of my OC, aptly named, because thats what she is. She was created before Ultimica's time, by a Sorcerer of my creation, Daibracius, who everyone thought Adel had killed. She was created by everything from a Phoenix. Phoenix blood, feathers, soul, everything. And, as I'm sure people know with Phoenixes, they can't die. They always come back to life... for the most part. I'm not too sure; I need to do a little more research into Phoenix mythology until I'm completely sure.
Anyway, in my story... which isn't written [^^U] Phoenix plus Irvine,and the other SeeDs go up against Daibracius, and defeat him, but with a serious consequence. because master [Daibracius] and creation [Phoenix] are linked. So any hit on Daibracius also takes a toll on Phoenix. When Daibracius is killed, Phoenix collapses, and on the way back to Balamb Garden to be tended to, she dies. [X_x]
Then back at Balamb, her Phoenix blood and Phoenix feather [the necklace around her neck] react, and she sprouts these wings [which later disappear leaving two nice scars on her shoulder blades] she comes back to life, and the flame in her hand spreads and heals those around her.

......Its really sketchy. I need to work it out more in my head, but thats the general idea.
I like the picture... how Phoenix looks... only annoyed at the fact I started drawng too far down on the page. == So I couldn't draw her feet. But I like it in general.... I had fun playing with it in PSP 9
