Beyond the Pale//Part 1 (Short Story!)

Hayden Melbourne may have defeated his apathy and won and the battle at Midwinter, but the war isn't over. When a zealous stranger cloaked in secrecy appears claiming to be the new Winter Knight, Hayden once again finds himself fighting for his life and against his will. Are his newly mastered senses enough, or will complications brought on by friends and lovers send him face-to-face with the one thing he fears most: death?

I love Nolan and Bry, but I've been ITCHING to write with Hayden, so I present to you this short story. It takes place about four months after Ethereality, aka exactly where Beheld is now. You can expect to see appearances by the gang from Beheld, and, of course, Tony, as well as some brand-new characters ~
