As you can see, I messed with some filters to try to emulate even the slightest depth. The piece uses the same submelody and has a slower rate with an prolonged melody. In it's entirety, it lasts a mere 52 seconds.

It has a very depressing feel to it. I suppose that was the intent considering the related quote. Much like some of the other comments, I also agree: this sounds like something from a video game. Good work!
