I don't remember how the cover of xxxHOLIC looks like, so I can't say much about the similarily, but I liked a lot the way it turned out. The varied,wide black and white surfaces do make it resemble a traditional Japanese drawing of sort. One little thing that bothered me- I think the mouth is possiblly placed a little too Right. It makes it seem as if her chin is places unnaturally foward.
