The killers ch.6
Chapter Six
“Where are they?” Gus asked following Rachel around the store. It was almost noon.
“Right here,” Rachel said turning the corner. She quickly grabbed some pad and left walking by Gus. Gus quickly followed her and Andrewfer followed them. When they got to the end of the aisle they saw Rachel waving to a girl down the next aisle. “Hey Stephy,” she said, and a girl about her age ran up and hugged her.
“Hey Rachy how are you,” Stephanie looked over Rachel’s shoulder, “who are they and where is Mac?”
“This is Gus and this is Andrewfer,” Rachel said pointing to Gus then Andrewfer.
“Oh hi what’s up?” Stephy said smiling.
“What are you doing here?” Rachel asked glancing back at Gus and Andrewfer.
“Well I’m getting pads then I’m going shopping for furniture,” Stephy smiled at Rachel.
“Oh Gus you need new furniture, don’t you?” Rachel said looking back at Gus.
“What? No, not that I know of,” Gus said looking at her.
“Well I think you do let’s get the pads and go,” Rachel said walking with Stephy. “Oh I need underwear too.”
“What?” Gus asked following them as they walked out. They quickly bought the pads and head to the furniture store. Gus sat in the back while Andrewfer drives and Rachel was in the passenger seat. They where lead by Stephanie to the store in her car.
Mac stared at Miriam as she drove to the corner store that was next to a furniture shop. “Why are we here?” he asked as they got out of the car.
“Well we need a disguise and that is Stephanie’s favorite furniture store.” She said as she locked the car doors.
“How do you know that…and why would they come here?”
“I know that because Stephanie took me here to decorate my house,”
“That one friend of Rachel's who hates me?” Mac asked Miriam.
“Yes, that would be Stephanie,” Miriam said smiling.
“So how does this work?” Mac asked.
“You’ll see,” Miriam said getting out of the can.
“That’s ugly, it’s not going in my house” Gus hissed at Rachel as she was looking at a bed set.
“Come on, why not?” Rachel asked smiling. “It would look so good.”
“It’s not going in my room!” Gus hissed.
“YES! IT IS!” Rachel yelled at him.
“Fine,” Gus said walking to go look at a dinning room table and chairs. Andrewfer followed Gus rolling his eyes. How he could let a girl boss him around like that, Andrewfer wondered. Rachel followed Gus over to the dinning room set.
“These would look good in your dinning room,” Rachel said pointing to the one Gus had been looking at. Then she walked over to a smaller set with only two chairs. “This one would be good in the kitchen,” Rachel said.
“That’s what I thought,” Gus said looking at both sets.
“Well that’s all that need done, lets go hun,” Rachel said heading to the front desk with the sales man that had been helping them.
“Did she just call me hun?” He whispered to Andrewfer.
“Yes, I believe she did,” Andrewfer said shocked.
“Let’s go,” Gus said following Rachel. Gus pulled out his check book.
“Do you want it delivered?” The sales man asked.
“Yes, today, if you could please. So how much is it?” Gus asked.
“2 million, Sir,” The sales man said wide eyed. Gus wrote the check quickly and handed it to the sales man.
“It cleared,” the sales man said shocked.
“What didn’t think it would?” Gus asked rudely.
“No, Sir, the furniture will be delivered this afternoon,” the sales man said.
“Thank you,” Gus said grabbing Rachel’s hand and kissing it. “Let’s go, babe,” He smiled. He walked out holding Rachel's hand.
“What the fuck were you doing?” Rachel said getting into the passenger seat. Gus got in the driver seat and Andrewfer in the back.
“Well I thought you were acting the part of the sweet girlfriend,” Gus smiled starting the car and driving off.
“I wasn’t,” Rachel hissed looking out the window.
“They look so cute together,” Miriam said watching them walk out.
“WHAT?!” Mac hissed.
“Just kidding, but really they don’t look too bad together,” Miriam said and headed back to Mac’s car.
“DON’T SAY STUFF LIKE THAT,” Mac yelled and Miriam just laughed.
