After her initial shock of the kiss she shoved the stranger away and tried to run. Instead of running like she had hoped she stumbled and collapsed to her knees shaking.
She felt someone settle down next to her and place an arm on her shoulder. Instinctively she curled up. "Leave me alone."
"I'm not gonna hurt you." He offered her a warm smile. "Come. It'll be nightfall soon and I doubt you'd want to be out here when that happens."
She looked up at him warily. "You're not gonna try anything are you?"
"You have my word that I won't do anything without your permission. Now, come, my home isn't too far."
