The first gift art I ever made, for Kelathe. The char belongs to him and what follows is the description he provided. I do not think I managed to respect that wich he wrote... but it's the best I can do. Hope he won't be disapointed ( too much ).

Character Information:

Red and Silver Western Dragon.

Half of his body is covered in deep red scales, which is his upper half. This runs from head to tail. Above the stomach.
The bottom half is silver. Generally this half is completely smooth looking and shiny as pure silver. Unlike his upper half, this bottom half seems to have no visible scales or plating. This runs from his tail to the very bottom half of his maw. (This can be changed to a normal draconic stomach or lower half since he has also been depicted as so also.)
His body is quite well built. His stomach area is around the same thickness and roundness as the rest of his body, except his tail and neck.
His tail is quite longer than most other dragons about an extra 25-50% more.He has a basic tail shape of a dragon. Thick near the pelvis and narrows to a point at the end.
Running down the top of his head all the way down to the middle of his back runs a silver fin with fin horns along it to support it. Depending on the mood this fine strip can be raised fully or laid flat.
His head is a cross of the classic red dragon shaped head with some silver dragon features. His snout looks a little more saurian.
His eyes are generally a liquid mist of grey. But on some moods it can change to a nice sea blue.
Normally he does not have any true horns on his head or body other than the small fin horns. But with the use of magic or his trnasformation ability or his variant on age. He does sport a pair of horns from his head narrowed in line with his head.
The outward sides of his arms and legs (facing away from his body) is all covered by his red scales, attached to the rest of the red scale portions. The inside (facing towards his stomach area or undersides) is the same as the silver portions.
He also has the silver for a soft underpadding on his paws.
His head and maw shows no teeth when his mouth is closed.
The dragon has a sleek looking body and looks smooth. His shiny body generally increases such a look.
His has a set of wings that have the membrane as a silver sheen and the muscular limbs as the red scales. He has a general average wingspan of a dragon his size.
The dragon has a decently muscular and constitutional build. His legs seem much stronger than his arms. But not by much.

Must of taken a while to do.

I can't stop ro admire the background. Good work on the light and the details. Though some of the trees that stand a more in the background look like single trunks with bushy treetops on them. They are a bit out of shape - round like lollypops. I hope you understand what I try to describe.
But I really like the forestfloor and the light between the trees.

And that's one strong dragon. ^^ I like the head, it's well shaded - an is there a bit of green shimmer in there or is that just me? ^^
But there are some bodypart I want to write something about.
I got a little problem with the perspektive of the wing. It's looks like the upper arm ends directly in the hand of the wing. Because of the falcon, I can't make out where the fingers end, so it looks like they just go on thill they reach the arm. And it seems like the upper arm, if there, isn't in the right position to be connectet to the upper arm this way.
Confusing, eh? I think I got this impression becouse of the falcon sitting there. So I can't make out how hand and arms are connectet in their positions.
But still the hand pf the wing also don't seems to be reaching out enogh to the viwer (I also thik I get this impression 'cause of the position auf the upper arm). It looks like it is close to the body, which also gives the impression of a short lower arm. I hopy you understood a little bit of what I was trying to explain.

And something about the leg. On the parts where the wing casts it's shadow, the leg looks simply flat - at least in fullview.

I should stop now, I'm already confounding myself.

good god.. amazing!

Prototype Says:

Tree trunks could use some work. You should be able to see the splintering larger limbs at least for the closer trees, and this is doubly true seeing that this is a forest setting (where natural competition dictates that the tree's emphasis is on growing upwards instead of to the sides, the way you made your trees is more akin to how they grow in someone's front yard). The textures of the trees also would suggest more jagged edges compared to the relatively flat ones at this time. Also, the feeling of depth is kind of lost in the background trees, where they all have the same tint and no fading into the background.
