Chillin' at my friend's house, the other night, and she had this beautiful two-foot-tall Edward Scissorhands doll. An' I see it, an' I'm like, "Hey, I love that movie! It has Tim Burton doing all the things that I like him for as a writer and director!" And I've totally always wanted to draw Edward. So...I did. Splashed a little watercolor on him, a day or two later. And the background is taken from an entirely different painting, and stuck on with a little digital magic.

Your style definitely does this justice. He looks creepy, but still shy and kind.

You did a wonderful job capturing both Burton's creation, while keeping your style on him :) Wonderful, JoJo!

i think it would look better without the background. Then again, it does draw attention to the details.

It seems like Tim Burton's movies all seem to have the same something that makes quite similar.
Not the same 'it' that Scissor hand had, something like Big fish. Maybe once in a while a really good one will pop out!
Anyway, the watercolornination looks simple, but at the same time PROFESSIONAL!
