Crying to the night.
That is the only one she can show her tears to.
Because darkness can't see,
The light.
Praying, wishing, for love, happiness.
The desire to be whole.
Her own feelings confuse her,
Like a broken mirror.
Each of the pieces different,
But when put together, equal the same thing.
Nobody cares about you,
He tells her.
Don't tell me that people do, because that's just an excuse.
She knows it's not true.
My friends care about me, she says,
And my loving family.
She realizes then, that she isn't so alone after all.
That her wish came true long before she even thought about it.
He scoffs and walks away.
But he doesn't matter anymore.
She wonders why he even mattered in the first place.
She couldn't hold back the tears.
When she apologized to her parents.
For all the wrongs she had done,
Guilt overflowing.
They forgive her withought a second thought, and take her up in their arms.
Even when her sister calls her a crybaby, she knows she cares.
She smiles, her heart warmer than the sun.
They are love.
He was a childish infatuation.
I don't need him.
Because I am whole.
