'Bout freakin' time I drew a little fanart for Kamen Rider Den-O...one of the most awesome television shows that was ever filmed for kids to watch after school.
Okay, brief explanation: There's this sweet-mannered young man named Ryotaro, to whom bad things are constantly happening. Then he finds out that he's a singularity point in time, and he gets a time-traveling train (the Den Liner) and a feisty female romantic interest (named Hana) to help him defeat these sand-scattering spirits called "Imajin" who want to use people's memories to travel back in time and mess up the place. They do this by finding a hapless person and granting them a wish in exchange for their memory.
With me so far? Okay...
So, Ryotaro over time finds himself with four of these spirits of his own, who are--for various reasons--good guys, not interested in destroying the timeline. He calls on these spirits to possess him and transform him into different forms of Den-O...which is the Kamen Rider warrior who fights the Imajin. They can also possess him when he's not fighting--which they love, because they get bored and want to run around in the physical world having fun--and he hates, because they get him into all kinds of trouble.
Still with me? Okay. Add to this that everybody in the show is obsessed with coffee. And it is most comedic and awesome.
So! This is a picture of the four spirits, as they look while they're possessing Ryotaro. They are:
Momotaros, in red. He's an ogre-themed spirit with major attitude. He likes fighting and is totally annoyed that Ryotaro decided to name him "Momotaros" (the "Peach Boy" of the old fairy tale.)
Urataros, in blue. He's a smooth-talking turtle-themed spirit who's cool as a cucumber, and a major playboy with the ladies.
Kintaros, in yellow. He's a narcoleptic bear-themed spirit, with the warrior spirit of a great sumo wrestler...and his head is about as dense as a sumo wrestler's body.
Ryutaros, in purple. He's a dragon-themed spirit who's a hip-hop dancing, snot-nosed little hyperactive punk.
Summary: Kamen Rider Den-O is awesome and one of JoJo's favorite things in the world.
