I know! I know! A back-to-back coloring! But it just turned out that way! The lineart was done by (here->http://www.sheezyart.com/view/1735756/) and it's of his character Bebop. She's so pretty I couldn't resist. That and it was a free-for all to chose whatever color schema that I wanted. Much more liberating than my previous coloring.

When I saw the wavy lines of the hair I was immediately reminded of Naoko Takeuchi's manga drawings of Sailor Moon. She used a lighter, brighter, yellow to show the blonde hair. So I decided to go that route. Yellow and purple are complimentary colors(and one of my newer fave color combinations) so I decided to go with purple for the dress. To give it a little more visual interest I used a lighter shade of purple on things like the sleeves, frills, and the bottom part of her shoes. I also like the color combination of purple and silver. To me it's very princess-like. The first thing I did was make the frills under the dress silver. Then I chose the interprit the wrapping around the dress as a silver wraparound her body and extending into a bow. Darker silver to show the stands tightening against her dress. I also applied this to her boots.

Overall about 2-3 hours of coloring. Ironically I like this one better than my "Coloring Senshi" picture.

Wonderful! Beautiful! I love it! And you're actually pretty close on the general color scheme. I love how you went for the darker colors and the cute little blush on her cheeks.
