The render of the fox miko is from Chibi of AnimeRender.com. I don't usually like working with images that will take up most of the wallpaper and for a bit there I wasn't sure how well this would turn out. I started out wanting to keep things brown toned to match the girl's ears and hair, I also wanted to have a bit of a natural brushwork deep down in the image so I played around with some brushes from Aethereality. Then I began playing with textures and coloring effects to try and reduce the brightness of the wallpaper. Eventually I wound out making a sort of firery feel to the bg which I really thought looked cool. It wasn't originally planned to be a fire type wallpaper but fire is a part of nature too ^^
