Unlikely Reunion Ch. 1

A year has passed since the defeat and death of Stan. The ninjas are now relaxing at their headquarters, a new recruit has joined the team: Emily. Emily is Justin's big sister. She has the power of water. Emily decided to join the team after the death of Stan. She used to be a bad guy but changed after hearing about the death of Stan, who killed her father when she was only six. She was not just happy but proud that it was her little brother who killed Stan. When she was little, Emily was a best friend to Valerie. They first met when Valerie was three and Emily was four. They still were friends and kept in touch until when Valerie was eleven and she can away from home and never talked or seen Emily until now.

Emily and the gang are in the living room watching Valerie and Justin play some Dragonball Z on the Playstation 2. Valerie as Vegeta and Justin as Goku. Valerie has beaten Justin two times, while Justin has only won once.

"How can you win if you don't know how to block?!" Justin asked.

"I'm just good at this 'Kakarot'" Valerie said.

"Huh?" Justin asked confused.

"I was just joking. You know, because I'm playing Vegeta and your Goku and Vegeta calls Goku 'Kakarot'." Valerie said.

"Oh, now I get it!" Justin said chuckling.

Valerie smiled and rolled her eyes.

During their rest, Justin decided to upgrade their com-watches to have their favorite anime characters so they can not only role play, they can also fight as their chosen character.

“I was wondering Valerie, you’ve never told us what your demon soul looks like.” Justin said.

“You didn’t ask.” Valerie stated.

“Well, what does it look like?” Justin asked.

“She has long hair that is as black as midnight; crimson eyes, black veins on the face, crimson outfit, and black and crimson colored hands that look like flames. She is psychotic and annoying. Every day she talks non-stop making me have insomnia. I sleep only once a month, sometimes once every two months. *sigh* She causes hell every minute. The only way to control her is to fuse with her mentally, but that is too risky for me to do now. I’m not ready yet.” Valerie said.

“Does she have any kind of wings? I’m just curious.” Justin said.

“Yes, black angel wings. She also has fangs.” Valerie said.

“How do you know about how she looks?” Justin said.

“My mom showed me when I was little. She showed me a mirror that can show a person’s dark side.” Valerie said.

Justin just nodded.

“She has black hair that is the same length as mine. Black veins run all over her face. She has crimson eyes with black slits for pupils. She has two forms: one with black wings and scars that start at the edges of her mouth up to her cheeks; it looks like she is smiling. The second form is the most powerful. No wings but the scars stay. She has fangs and her forearms are black and red and her skin is grayish white. I still need a lot more time to control her. So I suggest that you don’t get on my bad side.” Valerie said.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” Justin said.

They both finished playing the game and talked for a little while more.

“So Valerie, why have you been going out so much and not telling us? Do you have a boyfriend?” Kitsuna teased.

“No. He is just a friend. I meet him at the mall. He is a cool guy. He seems to understand me; not make me feel uncomfortable or out of place.” Valerie said.

Justin felt a little bit jealous of Valerie’s new friend. He really wanted to make Valerie feel like she is not a weirdo or a freak. He wanted to make her feel loved.

“What’s his name?” Emily asked.

“Blake. I meet him at the park every Friday. I’ll take you guys with me to meet him.” Valerie said.

“That sounds great!” Kitsuna said.

“Alright, I’ll call him and let him know.” Valerie.

She walked out of the room and called Blake on her cell phone.

“Wow. She seems happy to meet someone like that.” Jire said.

“I just hope she knows that we care for her more than him. This seems kind of suspicious to me.” Justin said.

“That’s because you’re jealous of Blake because he makes her happy(if that was happiness). You like Valerie don’t you? You have a crush on her!” Kitsuna said smirking.

“No I don’t! It just seems strange to me. I have a bad feeling about this for some reason.” Justin said.
