Standing alone

Standing alone

She stands alone
in a vast city,
the lamps lighting,
cars quickly passing,
in the brightly lit
streets of home.

Not a soul
is seen as she
continues onward,
continues forward.
The breeze playing
ever so cold.

An upside-down
world the city is,
lights from cars
overpowering stars,
and still no soul
is seen around.

A single tear
escapes her eye,
unable to contain
the growing pain
of her heart,
everything now clear.

In this big town,
surrounded by all,
The mirror doesn't lie,
it does not hide,
that she is
completely alone.

I was taking a walk around late at night when this little poem popped into my head. I decided to actually write it down, unlike what I have been doing recently, and post it up. I was listening to the song a wolf with no name by fox amoore while I was walking, and thus forth probably helped inspire me, so thanks I guess.

Thankee for reading, critique is welcome, along with rates.

wow...honestly I can feel the emotion in that peice of writing, this is an example of work that comes from the heart, mind, and soul. Well done, very well done.

Shadow Dinosaur Says:

I can see how you have interepted the emotion and feelings from a night out be yourself. Great job in writing this, yet i hope it not leaving you depressed. I also noticed its the unrhyme type of poetry.
