Collins
I am Collins, the man who waited
As Armstrong and Aldrin sent
To stroll the moon outside;
I was left inside in orbit,
I was left to wait inside;
To contact the bottom ground.
I was left to wait.
So close to the surface,
Yet untouchable;
I watched them trod around
And that instant I wanted
To walk on the surface of the moon.
To walk upon that surface.
That piece of unknown land.
Yet I am Collins, the man who waited;
And the one who stays behind.
