At Rainbow's End

I meant this to be for St. Patrick's Day, but didn't finish in time, so here it is anyway. A 'different' sort of leprechaun , guarding his gold, but perhaps not his other 'assets'. Which 'treasure' is really at the end of the rainbow.

Oh and I finally remembered the nipples this time. :) I always mean to put them in my paintings, but they're usually something I save for when I'm almost finished, because of the method I use I need the skin color to be the final version. So I often forget to do them. :(

I hope you all really like this one because this has to be the most pain in the @** painting I have ever done, not because of the painting itself, but all the glitches and crashes and corrupt files I had to deal with while painting it. I almost said 'the hell with it' sooooo many times. I can't even count how many hours of work I lost while doing this because of stupid computer issues. I love Painter and would never give it up, but seriously, the corrupt data issues are pissing me off.

However, I've taken to double saving my files now, as Painter format and Photoshop format, just in case, and it has soooo saved my butt many a time since. Except the once where the .psd was corrupt too. Typical it was the almost finished save. Fortunately I saved also as a jpeg, so with some copy/paste and other tricks I recovered my work. Whew.
