It's been so long since I've seen you smile,
So long since you've come and gone;
But I still remember hearing your laughter,
and thinking that you were the one.
I never told you what you did for me,
How you brought me into my own;
Out from the sheltered shadows to find
That I wasn't really alone.
You seemed to glow in the sunlight
and you danced in the rain

if I'll ever see you again.
The last time I saw you
you'd lost your glow;

I fell head over heels for you,

And I was naive, I was fooled.
