Another 3D art project. The theme of this one was "Harminous Disparity," where there had to be some sort of opposites shown in the piece. My idea was to have the ordered city be wrecked by a natural tree that can grow organically, looking erratic and random.
Of course, due to time constraints and lack of experience, this isn't exactly what I had first imagined in my head, without the buildings being broken, etc. I guess the lack of destruction kinda helped since someone thought that I was trying to address the cities in the US trying to go "green." Unintentionally clever.
So with this project (and I assume most projects in the future), you hide a lot of things you don't want people to see. In most cases, that's fine since they won't see things like the back of the buildings. However, that means I'm very limited in choices of camera angles and moving the camera elsewhere would show huge, glaring flaws.
In the end, I'd say I'm very satisfied with the piece. Got nice contrasts in both colors and themes and I'm learning to like 3dsMax8.

.. The tree kinda looks like a hand grabbing the building. 0o`
