I was engaged in this discussion another day, about how would the anatomy of a 4-armed person be, in the end I made up a possible skeleton/musculature setup for such.

Any comments? ideas?

Awesome. I can't really critique because I haven't studied muscles, though it seems accurate. I'm not sure the bones would overlap so much, though.

Imaginatomy! Good stuff.

Void of Rapture Says:

I think that would be pretty accurate, nice anatomy work also. I'd love to see someone with four arms. O__O

I would say its an interesting concept, but if someone was born four armed then the shoulder blade bones would be a different shape so that they don't collide, possible even more cartilage in between both bones. other than that it looks pretty accurate to me. imagine the problems they would have with their sweat glands, double the sweat ewww

I'd have to agree with lilheath, but at the same time the arms could also be slightly smaller to help with this problem. Not to mention by making them smaller it'd be proportionate. My only problem with it would be the stability of the second shoulder, if the second clavicle was connected to the sternum it might have trouble moving in between the ribs. You'd also need a bigger rib cage and a more vertebrae in the thoracic and lumbar regions to help support this new found weight.

Just my little input based off what I've learned so far in kinesiology. Otherwise though its pretty imaginative, nice to see people pushing the boundaries
