Through some odd interest, I decided to take the infamous R.O.B. (of NES fame) and give it the Peppered treatment. While the design is very much simplified, I think it worked relatively well. The "hands" were given very little detail resembling the true R.O.B., but having those "boxes" for hands didn't look good. Even without a pillar-like support for the arms, he should function rather well. Were a Pepper & Co. character to have invented this version of R.O.B., it would be Randy the panther, Kira's boyfriend.
I pondered about whether a recreation of one of the R.O.B. games, Stack-Up (Robot Block), would work well in modern days. Of course, the use of the original R.O.B. may be difficult (although possible), but I feel it better to utilize a "Virtual R.O.B." Not only would this R.O.B. not need batteries or make a lot of noise, it could also move faster, as its slow movement can prove to be tiresome after a time. What's more, this allows the game itself to know whether the job has been completed, rather than asking the player to let it know. It's more fair that way, I think.
I'm sure there would be other ways to tweak the game itself too. I may make a journal of it sometime.
For now, enjoy R.O.B. in all his limbless glory. :3
