Sentanced

In a world where dragons and humans rule together the laws are for both species. Both are equally prosecuted by a court of equal dragons and humans. One rule is to not harm one another. Such an act can be called assault, harassment or even murder and are treated as we treat those crimes here. One dragon went out and performed acts against humanity; demolished a small town that was close to the mountain he lived. He was the kind of dragon that horded gems and shiny things, and felt threatened. There was one witness that saw the whole thing: A green dragon, rather young with a blue frill ripping to shreds all 56 inhabitants of the town and eating the livestock. Unfortunately he had a cousin that looked very similar to him, and his cousin was brought in to pay for the crimes he "committed". Unfortunately he couldn't prove his innocence, so he was sentenced to be an executioner, since crime had been rising among humans. His wings, already starting to grow to full length, were cut off and a chain to go around his neck and shackles to bind them together. Then he was tossed into a pit for years and years to come.

Years later:

There was screaming from above. The cage was lowered into the cavern holding a small boy, who was determined to raise hell. With a loud clash, it hit the stone floor, waking its inhabitant. A lager pale green dragon raised his head, looking at the boy with one unscarred and clear eye. The boy realized that he was in the darkness, and the dragon was in the only source of light, therefore couldn't see him very well. With luck, he could quietly step further into the darkness and avoid giving the dragon any ideas to eat him. But just as he stepped back the dragon pulled his fore-paws under him and sat up. "Hold." The boy stopped, along with his heart. Surely the dragon must be hungry, this will be the end! "Step into the light," the dragon softly growled. The boy obeyed. "So young. Now the children are getting death sentences," he shook his head disgusted. "What is your crime?" All strength left him and the boy collapsed onto the stone. "No crime! I'm innocent, my brother did it!" he sobbed, covering his face. Slowly, with difficulty, the dragon stood up and walked over to the boy is few short strides. "Up, off the floor. I know you are innocent. I myself was charged for a crime I did not commit." The boy stopped crying and looked up. "Really?" Now that the dragon was closer his features were more defined. Soft, pale silk grew down the backs of his legs and the tip of his tail, as well as a long beard to match. A pale blue crest ran down his neck and ended at the base. Scars of past victims fighting for their last chance of life decorated his smooth, yet tough, skin. He was the size of a full-grown man at the shoulder, and even longer. Lowering his head the dragon nosed the boy gently. "I will help you get free. In exchange, I want you to live a free life and ensure that others do as well."

This picture took so long to finally finish. I don't know how many times I changed his color to find the right shade. >< But I found it. :3 So yeah, this is such an adorable dragon. I just want to hug him and his one-eyedness. -squeeze- I mean, just look at that face. It says "hug me now, for I am an emo dragon".
