YAY ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SCRATCHY PEN CROSS HATCHING!

AND BOO AT MY LAME SCANNER FOR EATING THE LIGHT SCRATCHES OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE AND TOTALLY DESTROYING THIS IN PS WITH LEVELS AND BRIGHTNESS CONTRAST HAHAHAHA.
Umm.
Practice on hands, I guess. Because I never do this sort of stuff and I know I really should more often because often times my hands don't come out quite how I like them and yeah. There's only two because my right hand insisted on drawing my hand life-size/bigger given 99% of the time I draw them smaller than life size (and I'm not talking about them being scale).
The arrow represents the lightsource. Actually, the light was from my bedroom window in the morning falling down at that angle onto my fist, soooo you get the idea. There were some really nice highlights to it, but I don't have any colored small pieces of paper otherwise I so woulda charcoaled that shit.
005 Micron = not good for cross hatching, I noticed. I think I'll stick to doing small areas by hand/using a ruler next time. D: Too many little hooks/darker/lighter areas because they weren't straight. :/
...I'll be doing some feet next, only because they's a bitch and a half too. BTW, only referenced my own hand. As usual.
Art © to me. Critique on line quality preferred and critique on cross-hatching ability NOT preferred. D:

At a glance, the only thing that sticks out is the middle knuckle on the hand on the left, which literally -sticks out-. I mean, I don't remember your hands too well, but I'm pretty sure that your knuckle wasn't that jagged. Other than that, this is good. Can't say much about the shading; beats anything I could do and, at a glance, I like it. On closer inspection, the hand on the right, open palm, has all sorts of little oddities, but nothing so major as to be glaring.
