Eternal Darkness Vol 2: Shadowed Storm

GUESS WHAT EVERYONE!

Shuu just finished two chapters of Eternal Darkness within weeks of each other...and has finished the second Arc, "Shadowed Storm." All I need to do is hear back from my Beta (if she still wants to do it), and then things will be peachy.

So, of course, I have to make a cover to go with the completed Arc. I'm probably going to be writing a lot more, since I'm motivated for it and, hopefully, to finish it sometime in my life *cough*

I chose the title because most of this arc has to do with Darksaturn, Gemini, and the Evil Senshi. Also, Pharaoh 90 is revived in this arc, and he plays a key roll (OF COURSE) in the entire fanfiction. Hence why all of them are in it. Pharaoh 90 is going to be a shadowy figure (not colored), and Darksaturn/Evil Senshi will be fading into the darkness. The only bright one is Gemini.

Yes, Gemini is meant to be manly. SHES RUSSIAN OKAY?

Anyway, this was done over a span of a lot of days, because doing laser disk style isn't as easy as it seems. Plus, both Pharaoh 90 and Gemini were giving me trouble throughout the whole thing. I got really creative with adding the shadows to the hair. But, as it is my first time doing it, there's a bunch of spots that're kind of blotchy, but overall, I'm fairly pleased with the result. I still can't remember what I did in that Gemini double shot a while back with her crazy gradient hair...I can't seem to mimic it. But at least you can see it here...kind of.

The actual image is a lot smaller because of how wide the borders are. And, for those who are curious, this is meant to mimic the Laser Disk covers for the Sailormoon series; specifically, the Super (or S) Season, since this is what ED is heavily based on.

It's darker then Trinity because the Arc is a lot darker. So are the characters. I mean, Gemini is a fucking sociopath, Darksaturn is an emotionless killer, the Evil Senshi is...um...evil? With a voice in her head called The Yami...and it's PHARAOH 90 UP THERE FOR CHRIST SAKES! You can't get much eviler then a Spawn of Chaos

The only one I'm not 100% happy with is Pharaoh 90. I couldn't get him to look the way I envisioned him in my mind. Oh well. I had to do a LOT of referencing between this and my Trinity cover (THANK GOD I STILL HAVE THE .PSD OF IT!), since I forgot what I did. I tend to do that a lot with my art ^___^; I really love the shiny sparkly BG and the one behind them. If you're perceptive, you'll notice the LD shading on the trio behind Gemini reflects the gradient shinies back there.

Why is Gemini shaded normally? Because she's the focus of the picture. Granted, she isn't the focus of the arc (though she plays a big role in the begining of it), but she kind of starts it off. With a bang, lots of explosions and lighting, and then some emo. Because Gemini is really a sad girl *pets her*
