Whooohoooo!

My second watercolor ever

' Saaaaaad. Ah, but I spent so much time on the water and it's still choppy. And the whales don't look like they're in the water, more like they were pasted over the water.

Haha, o well. I finished! ^^
EDIT:
By the way, I didn't make the scene, I was painting off a picture from this huge book called "THE SEA" (yeah, i know right? o.O) bunches of photos in there...on, well, you know.
Thanks for all the feedback, guys! ^^ I really appreciate it!

That water is amazing.

Maybe they'd be more grounded if there was less light below them
I think it's fine the way it is though, it looks beautifull :)

I think it looks great! Especially the water patterns on their backs.

Morelwen has the right of it. You needed some shadowing under them to make them look like they were part of the scene and not pasted over it. Still, even with that one mistake, you did an awesome job, especially for it being your second watercolor. I've done a good deal more than that and mine aren't nearly as nice. Kudos to you!

aaaw. they make a perfect couple, as do all the other whale, since they all look alike.
HurricaneLongsocks Says:
if you give the whales a blue timt they look like theyre actually in water.

Amazing job. I love how you did the water.

They do look like they are in the water to me, and not pasted. :) I like the kelp sticking out of the one. Nice water reflections. Watercolor is such a suitable medium for such a picture.

Very nice!
The water texture looks great, and with all the colors, too.
I love the viewpoint looking up to the surface underwater.
