I haven't drawn Knux in a long time, and I wanted to draw him doing something a tad unusual. So I got to thinking. Knuckles owns an entire floating Island. He's not gonna spend his days hanging out with the Master Emerald ... he's gonna GO PLACES. So here he is with his navigational equipment, taking the island someplace as a storm builds in the distance.
I wanted to draw him with a sextant. Then I looked them up and discovered that sextants are fiddly little things with tons of tiny parts and lenses. Ugh. This one came out very simplified.
Painted while my son was taking a nap, so there are very large flaws.

The background makes his bright redness stand out so well ^^ So much easier to look at
