Did anyone notice that in the WIP version.. the guy was left handed? Well I hadn't noticed until half way through finishing this. This is like.. the third time I did such a thing!! So I just flipped the image
!! And now he's right handed!!

D: That's just a brilliant job there, I feel bad for not finishing my half now. x.x Love the shading and the pose. I also agree the eye is done very well, as is the hair.
Funny thing I've noticed with gifts and art trades that have Akera in it, they always seem to forget his red highlights on his hair.
As for him looking a bit girly, Akera is supposed to be a little, but I've never drawn him enough to get that look going.

The shading on this is brilliant. I really like the highlights, they are well done. The background is well done also.
I wonder... Have you tried thinning out the eyelash lines to make eyes more masculine? Or making them a little more rectangle instead of round? I've found that both of those help. :)
