For once, a song without vocals. However I must warn you this song is about seven minutes long and originally was written to fit vocals, so it may be too boring for some of you. My friend and I both feel that we didn't want to ruin the song due to bad vocal work or anything, so we felt it is best to leave it without. I won't be offended if you don't listen all the way through.
The music itself has been written and recorded by Corie G. and myself.
The lyrics were originally a story about sitting by a dark swamp, looking into the muck of water and seeing your own reflection. Only, the reflection begins to morph and you see a much darker side of yourself, something you've never let be seen. I am not going to get deep or poetic into the story or anything, it's all for your own thought. I only explained that little bit so the drastic changes in the song make a little more sense.
If anyone wants a fantastic story to read based on the song, KajiAwai Kon wrote an impressive story here:

Anyway, please listen, turn up your speakers, and enjoy if possible!

I actually like it, but then again, I am the kind that listens to at least more than half of the song (if it's long) before judging it... and I am some what of a writer (though I hardly post any of my stuff) so I prefer songs without vocals. It leaves me free to picture what's going on behind the music, like picturing a scene that would fit it. I like it a lot.

Epic man... wow. I really like the imagery this invokes, sure sure it could have used some leads maybe, but I really liked it despite that, the repetitiveness (in this case) actually adds to the music. I love the mixing, the bass tone, the awesome clean tones and synths...
Needless to say I eargasmed with fullness. I... had images running through my head, but only based upon my own experiences, and... holy shit, this is good.

Where's the download button, man???

's reasons...being a writer, I find I can't tune out the lyrics--I have to like the story and the message. Or, an instrumental, which lets me imagine whatever I want.
Seriously, this is REALLY good and I would love to listen to it again...and again...and again.
I actually think doing this as an instrumental serves you well. Part of it is similar to
I'm getting a combination of influences as I listen to it...earlier Opeth (let's say Morningrise-Still Life) and Dream Theater (Images and Words and Awake especially)/Mullmuzzler. Which is kinda funny in my head because my mental voice-over goes back and forth between a Mikael Akerfeldt growl and a James LaBrie whisper/shriek!

ok, had to delete my first comment due to not giving it enoghu thoguht lol. anyways, this thing flowed with such awesome emotion, it's sounds really good. if vocals were to be added, I think the vocalist would have a hard time topping off what's already been done here. You guys rock, no, you guys FUCKING rock \m/.
Merina Says:
I love this. It's very symphonic and melodic. Great job on the intro, as well as the distorted guitar.
Just like Cyril I had images running through my head. This would be such an awesome song to make a animation on.
Are you going to put in vocals later on? It's worth a try.
This song should be heard by more people. To me having it as instrumental doesn't seem boring at all, I just wonder how it would work out with lyrics!
Olive The Python Says:
I love this. I love it hXc. Very different from what I was expecting. Hahaha, bass solo. There's a part where they're singing like 'Ahhhh', you should get someone to do that instead of have it synthesized. Ah, and then it transverses... and goes up, very nicely. There's a weird transition part after that which makes me iffy, but you know I'm just giving you my full opinion and overall very interesting. Again, there's a break and I think you should make the notes just a bit louder. Wow, I feel like a total douche. This song is really nice, and I'm picking it apart. Bleh. I'm gonna stop typing now. Around 6 or so, I love how that guitar part slowly comes in and the other instruments fade. Fuck, I have to go. REALLY AWESOME! DO NOT DOUBT ME!

Excellent, I really like this, I love all the mood changes and it's great as an insturmental. It could work well with vocals, but it's not necessary, the overall sound reminds me of "Rush", which is no bad thing. Really good job, well done.
Blank File Says:
I cannot stress how good this song is, man. The variety of composition and sound is just astounding, and this work never at any point felt contrived or poorly executed. Very professional, and very well done. This deserves a feature spot on the front page. Seriously. You two have really outdone yourselves. So, before this turns into a rant, much respect.
