Made for the Sunday school volunteers' appreciation luncheon at church. There was so much more I wanted to do with it, but I ran out of time. I was gonna make gardening gloved out of fondant, and drape them through the handle, and all this other stuff, but, yeah. Anyway, I have to say this was the smoothest I've ever had a cake transport go. After the disaster with my wedding cake (http://visionsofsugar.spindash.net/images/caek.jpg), I drove a huge friggin' sharpened dowel all the way down the center, and into cake drum, and then I drove another one in diagonally through the spout (which was hand-molded from rice krispie treat). That sucker was like a rock. It went to church uncovered on a cake stand. Oh yeah. It was Tonka Tough.
I didn't stay for the lunch, because I had another engagement with the in-laws, but I'm told the children kept wanting to eat the spade, and another wanted to eat the entirety of the 3/4 cup piping gel I used for water. Naaaaasty.
