Whoo, finally done. I hate this tiny itty bitty few though- kills all the wonderful details. :/ (the original file is like...2500x3200 pixs) So if you wanna see it, go to DA and hit the 'download' button. You'll be able to see the ridges of the fingerprints and the rope dust shrapnel and everything lots better.
SO! A straight black and white picture (with some grey to make the lines look better!). Haven't done one in a while, what with all of that crazy digital coloring I've been doing. Trust me, at one point I looked at this piece, and I was like '...*sob* WANT TO COLOR*'. Of course, I'm probably gonna have to get used to lackings of colorness for a while if I want to make lots of actual graphic novel pages. T^T So best suck up my 'OMG COLORS 8DDDDD'pride and work black and white for a while.
BEFORE ANYTHING IS SAID, I HAVE TWO THINGS TO SAY.
1)

You should go and worship this wondrous artist who is gonna get published so soon.

She helped A LOT in the advice dept. of this piece, especially with the blood.

I've never drawn blood before, soooo that was like OMG thanks. Thank you so kindly again, Jojo!
2) This piece was used to exercise composition and achromatic things, NOT working on proportions. I know the proportions are funky. I DUN CARE OM NOM NOM DO NOT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT IT. I do far enough of worrying about proportions. I just want to let my artistic juices flow for once without being a perfectionist about everything. That just drives me mad.

They aren't so bad that they're like that one chibi picture I drew too long ago, so if they're close, that's good enough for me.
Now, onto business...Inspired by Velvet Revolver's 'Set Me Free' (go and search and listen to it!), from a scene where Breaker has gotten shot in the arm twice and yet (like any other good drama novel) he's the only one that can carry Brooke outta her captive's building. Hahaha...That's Keith Miller's pocketknife, aka Nail's knife. He's busy off in the distance burning the little crackheads that kidnapped Brooke. Ah well.
You'll notice the font used? Yep. Chaos Overdrive. I left the letters white to help balance the picture and keep that composition going nicely. Not sure what I could have done to bring attention to the letters, but keep it the second thing you would look at. I think I sorta accomplished that, but maybe I didn't. I don't know. All I know is that big files are difficult to work with and my leg is asleep and Slither is amazing.
Anyhoo, enough from lil' ol' me. I'm off to do other crazy arts.

Awww, yes! This turned out beautifully. Such excellent improvement from the in-progress stage I last saw. Wonderful. That blood looks faboo, and like I said, there's some really nice things happening with the rope. I'll be really excited to see where you go with black and white from here...once you really start thinking about doing things with texture, and lighting

Interesting... You should get used to doing images about this size, I think. That's about the size of a graphic novel page, isn't it? On my computer, it's much larger than the Cowboy Bebop books I have (the only thing I could compare it to, haha). Hmm... I still don't understand either of their facial expressions. Those could use work, I think.
