Zero, Legendary Reploid Chapter One

It was a beautiful spring day in Neo Arcadia, but Zero knew that something wasn't right. It was always like that. Ever since Ciel "resurrected" him in that mysterious lab, anyways. He had always helped the Resistance out by saving those that needed saving, or needed backup. He also defeated the "Four Gaurdians Of X", or so Ciel would call them, and their apprentices. Fighting was getting old, and Zero was starting to understand how the real X had felt so long before he had been resurrected. Zero still couldn't remember what X looked like, and he hated that. Ciel had told him that he and X had fought side by side in order to defeat Sigma, but he wasn't sure if they were friends, or momentarily joined-up rivals in one of those darkest hour types of things. He was hoping he could remember soon, or else he knew he'd have a million questions for Harpuia, Leviathan, Fefnir, and Phantom whenever he fought them again.
Zero almost jumped when he heard the sudden noise of rainfall. He had been so lost in thought, that he hadn't noticed how late it was. "Shoot, I forgot to get back to Ciel to see if she had any missions for me!", Zero said, remembering that Ciel had told him to come back to the Resistance's base after a while to see if there where any missions for him. Zero got up, and headed back to the Resistance Base.
It was about 12 a.m., which wasn't so bad, but he was still about an hour late or so.

As always, Ciel was in her room, waiting for Neige to tell her when Zero would arrive. When Neige finally called her to tell her that Zero was waiting for her, she was pretty surprised that Zero was almost an hour and a half late. Then again, he'd probably been out in one of the last flower gardens, trying to be somewhere peaceful, just so he could try and remember X. Zero had already gotten the general idea of what X looked like when he met Copy X, but X and Copy X would never be the same person. Ever. Ciel turned around and walked out of her room.
She must've been correct on where Zero was, because he still had that frustrated look in his eyes. He also seemed to have been deep in thought again, because it took him a minute or two to notice her. She wondered if Zero had remembered anything about X, and so she asked: "Remember anything?"
"No."
".......Don't worry. You've bean sealed away for so long, it might take a while just to remember everything."
"..................Yeah, I guess you're right. I just barely managed to get half of my memory back in the past year or so, so I guess I can wait I while longer."
"Good."
Zero and Ciel would have talked together a little longer, but the main system suddenly burst out:

ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ENEMY SHOWN ON RADAR!!! ALL ARMS GET TO THE WESTERN SIDE OF THE BASE IMMEDIATELY!!!

"Huh...? Ciel, stay here!", Zero said, dashing of towards the Western Side of the Resistance Base. Since the Neo Arcadians' Base, Heaven, was to the Resistance's west, it was most likely one of the four guardian's underlings attacking. And, most likely, it was Fefnir's underlings. Fefnir had always loved to fight. Another reason for calling him "Fighting Fefnir". Whatever reason they were attacking for, probably wasn't even a good enough excuse to be attacking them.
When Zero got out of the Base, and in front of the western entrance, he could see that it was still a vast Desert, but it had more greenery in it. He could also see the Mavericks on their way to the Base, but, none of which he could see, where under Neo Arcadia's control. So much for that idea. There was about 200 of them, so it wasn't all that bad. Most of which, were Pantheons and Mechaniloids that were out of control. "Well, it wouldn't hurt for a warm up...", Zero thought, as he dashed towards the horde of Mavericks.
