in continuation with my earlier work -
arriving in the 21st Europe.
oil on canvas, 600mmX600mm
The 3 guys seen faintly behind the yellow-top vehicle - the front person is riding ['driving'] a cycle rikshaw carrying two passengers. This mode of manual transport still prevails in parts of India.
The yellow-top is also a three wheeler called auto-rikshaw - a popular mode of transport for short distances.A polluting vehicle.
The car is Tata nano, inaugurated last month, this is an Indian engineering breakthrough - the cheapest car in the world today, and expected to revolutionise the automobile industry in the world in a few years. [Tata is the name of the family-owned company biggest vehicle manufacturer in India]It beat China and S korea for cheap cars by a huge price margin.Cows sitting on roads is also a common site in Indian cities. Being 'sacrd', they are not slaughtered and the government does nothing to look after them and keep them off the roads.

I like how everything is arranged together. The mixture of old and new is really poignant.

What do those high towers on the left represent?
And in what way do you see it that cows are sacred? Because it seemed as if you don't agree with it?
I've heard of the tata nano!
I love the colors in this work and how it seems like a scene in a big city but in the image is represented as if it were in the dessert
