This was done for my Social Issues piece in AP art. I chose abortion. The topic had me steamed right around the time of this assignment, so I grabbed it by the throat and tore into it.

I have a lot of problems with abortion, but the one problem reflected in this piece is the age-old argument of: "Think of what the world would have been like if Hitler had been aborted."

Well. For one thing, that doesn't sound like a convincing reason to me, it sound like a slap in the face to the baby! To assume every child that has been aborted would have turned out to be a menace like Hitler. Yes, that child definitely has the potential to be another Hitler, but all of us do! We have to choose whether we want to be like him, or not. And whose to say that was what that child would have turned out to be? God forbid we want to take the chance to see if it would grow up to be a Mother Teresa, or an Albert Einstein. You just can't tell. No one can. And to take away the child's chance to prove itself in the world is just cruel.

Yay for preachy rants. Now I go to upload more!
