Rooftop Watch

My updates come in random waves; I keep forgetting I have a place here, LOL.

OMG traditional media, since when. D: First time inking with pen since summer of 2006, buh.

This is an oooold request from a friend of mine I saw at Wizard World Chicago, which was like... back in August, LOL. The piece was actually started then, and I forgot about it for the longest time because of school and work. I just recently stumbled across it while I was cleaning, and since all I had was a few minor areas left to outline, I did them right quick and crappily scanned it in and pieced it together. The original piece is some 14"x17", and my scanner is just a fraction larger than a standard sheet of paper. Lame-sauce.

Anyway, normally I don't do requests because of time constraints, but I made time for this one. Cory's been a fan of my art for years, even though he's all about the Western comics and not so much anime-esque stuff, and I just couldn't say no. He's been totally supportive, and as thanks, I did this up as a request for a friend of his. I still need to fix a few things here and there, but once it's done, it's all his.

I'd give him the original, but it, uh, sucks, haha. My pens and markers died half-way through, and since I so very rarely ink traditionally, I don't have any good tools for it. So aside from Vincent's clothes, the rest of the black was paint bucket-ed in Photoshop. So it's not entirely traditional media, I know, but the whole thing was outlined using a variety of pens, and I don't outline in pen. I outline in Photoshop. So it's a big deal to me, LOL.

Haha, tl;dr, long story short: A request of Vincent Valentine from FFVII for a good friend of mine using ink and Photoshop to fill in the remaining spaces and add in some details. I'm no traditional inker, haha. I've been considering coloring this, but we'll see.
