For Sute: Callisto & Hobbs

After seeing recent illustration, revisiting the Sailor Scout character she made (I'm guess many years ago, by now? lol), I got a huge touch of nostalgia. I don't think I've drawn a Sailor Moon character/fan character in.. let's see now.. *counts on her fingers*... at least SEVEN YEARS. Holy crap. So I decided to draw her character, Sailor Callisto and her companion Hobbs.

Now, if you will notice, this is listed under Vector. Yes, that's right.. I MADE VECTOR!!! Dear god, what is this world coming to. Hah. And let me tell you, I am not used to it; I find the pen tool and Illustrator in general to be very tedious and often times annoying (mostly because I'm just so darn used to years and years of raster in PShop) but I'm forcing myself to get over it. This was all done in vector except I painted the BG and added the outline/texty stuffs in PShop. It took me ALL FREAKIN' DAY, non stop! My knuckles on my right hand are sore now, but it was worth it.

The linework was the longest part of it all. Because I'm so unfamiliar with the pen tool, makin'... PATHS.. and whatnot.. Plus, all the lines were in color. This image is actually HUGE (thank you, vector.. *sheepish look*).

And yes, it's very pink. Despite my green/black LUV, I do happen to like pink. Well, please enjoy.
