V-Day Surprise//Damsel in Distress?

Inspired by this passage from Chapter 30//Bridge of Ethereality:

On the near bank, beside a weeping willow, I can just barely make out Gwen's pale form against the snow, Tony's dark one still limp and barely discernable against the lake. By the time I reach the spot she's barely moved, standing up to her waist in the star-studded water and turned around to face me.

Her voice is like her laugh, watery and blue. Softly she says, “Ooh, but this one must mean much to you. You didn't run after any of your other friends this way. Come to rescue your damsel in distress, good sir knight?”
