"you cannot run away from the pain, because the pain is needed to create. It is happiness, it is sadness, it is an imprisonment, and it is freedom. As an artist, and a living person, one cannot do without either worlds, and thus we, as artists, must carry both burdens, in this place where reality and our own worlds meet...."

I think I nearly had a heart attack at how beautiful this was when I first saw it.
The balloon is a very eye catching touch to this picture.
And I admire the perspective of her feet.
Very, very lovely.

I love the wall transition.
And reflection on the balloon.

Quake89 Says:

the picture is awesome, the concept is very intersting along with the picture itself. reality vs Alt Universe has been confused oftenly...from what i can see anyways. not much more to say, you a badass at this stuff. the detail, shading, imagery and all came out great.

(still curious what she is worried about though...)

Yeah, it hurts to have our own worlds as artists; that magical, colorful world only we can see, unique to every individual.... blah.

Lovely piece - very inspirational! It gives of a nice Hyung-Tae Kim feel, too.

Total fav!
