The Price of Enlightenment

The dove has slowly come to shore
An olive branch he bears no more
From battlefields where children bled
Our saviour brings forth hope instead
With wings untouched, so pure and white
We're told by him to reach the light
His beak and feet are merely tools
To sell his noble path and rules
"Your nature you must quite deny,"
"If ever you're to reach the sky."
He's [i[beautiful, this noble dove
We're honoured just to feel his love
For endless bliss, we'll always try
Eyes gauged out by the greatest lie

BELIEVE IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING WORD IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.

This piece is liable to offend you.
I don't even know who you are, and I just know it's going to.
Before you freak out, consider this: you preach your way, I'll preach mine.
And, yes, I'm talking about exactly what you're thinking.
Go on. Tell me what you think. Tell me why I'm wrong.

I'm listening.

I'm going to fall back on my right to free speech, just as you fall back on yours.

Doctor Dolittle Says:

If someone is offended by poetry, they can all go screw themselves with a folded copy of "The Ballad of Reading Gaol."

Byte Says:

I liked it.
Not surprisingly, another great work by Nanook.

Dumb luck Says:

It's no fun when no one opposes you, hey?

mercury yume Says:

Fitos Says:

Hmn... reference to Jesus?
