Finally! I finished my contest entry for WhiteFoxDK's contest. Her contest was one of the most interesting I've ever seen and thanks to her I'm now obsessed with fox spirits. Making this drawing actually inspired me to write a story about it. I'm currently working on the plot, with succes!
The main character of this story is this Earth Kitsune, her name is Chiyo (which means eternal, a thousand years or a thousand generations) and I thought it would really fit a fox spirit. As you can see, she has nine tails (yes count them!). In my story, which isn't exactly like the Japanese/Eastern culture stories, that means she's really powerful and has a lot of life experience. This drove her insane and she became aware (and obsessed with) of her power. She kinda turned 'evil' and disturbed the balance the Kitsune were supposed to keep.
Her color is brown, like the earth itself, with little green spots that stand for trees and forests. The green in her hair symbolizes grass. On her back she also has a blue stripe, that stands for the river of life flowing through the Earth. Her eye is purple, because it's a lovely, magical and intense colour.
I'm sorry about the background, but drawing stuff there would make it messy, because her nine tails already cover most of the background! So I made it blue with yellow, like some kind of sand she stands on. I wanted to focus on the fox spirit herself more. I hope that came out right!

This one looks really good... Reminds me somehow on this pokemon...
I think you worked well on the fur in case of the tail, but at the body part it could be a little more.
